How to choose axle size?

Choosing the Right Axle Size for Your Scale Model
Want to give your build a serious upgrade?
The axles you choose will make a difference in how your custom diecast looks and sits. Whether you're after a clean stock look or a more aggressive stance, we’ve got options to match your style.
For drag builds, trucks, or narrow-bodied classics, our shorter center tubes (18mm to 22mm) keep the wheels tucked for a clean, functional appearance.
Going wider? Our longer axles (25mm and 28mm) are perfect for widebody builds, stance customs, or factory axle replacements, giving you a planted look.
It's important to measure the size up front, as it's necessary for the primary axle center piece to reach the inside of the Wheel. The wheels can then freely spin, as the hole diameter is made to match the axle center piece.
Swapping wheels is a quick and easy mod that takes minutes but can completely change your car’s presence. Each axle comes with 10mm side pins that slide into the center tube, offering around 5mm of adjustment per side. No special tools or cuts needed — just slide and set it right.
If you're only changing the wheels, keeping the same axle size as stock is usually the best call.
Want to drop your build even lower? Our 3D-printed axle spacers make it easy. They sit between the chassis and axle, raising the axle slightly so your car hugs the ground — perfect for stance builds, slammed customs, or just for perfect fitment. Opening up the casting is needed in this case, supergluing the spacers next to the original axle hold.
